Everything changed when our Flat Coated Retriever, Kyrie, was hours from death. She was going through kidney failure and all she could do was partially open her eyes, so I decided to adjust her spine at the level that controlled her kidneys. I was trying to see if I could “kick start” the communication between her spine/nervous system and kidneys to see if that could help. To my amazement, within a few hours she was 50 percent better and within a day, she was like her old self again! Later that summer we found out our Kyrie had cancer and had to be put down. The most rewarding part of this whole process was that my wife, Mary, got the chance to enjoy our Kyrie for a few more months that she wouldn't have had. When the time was right, our entire family said goodbye. After experiencing the Kyrie miracle and encouragement from my family, I decided to go back to school. I received my Animal Chiropractic Certification form Parker University, in Dallas, Texas and then went on to receive my National Certification from the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA).
